Today is a great day, maybe even better than the last day and the day before that! Why? Because of a few things, firstly its spring here in Sydney and the sun is shinning, secondly I just submitted 3 UNI essays which were all due this morning 9AM sharp! And thirdly because my Menswear Edit for Marks & Spencer’s just went live on SHOPSTYLE!
Coming into Spring/Summer I chose to feature this great neutral toned linen suit from Marks and Spencer’s in my menswear edit for obvious reasons. Perfect for the races or any formal occasion, the material is lightweight and breathable, so you don’t become a sweaty mess in the sun! Wanting to keep the look casual and easy I decided to team the look with a basic singlet rather than a formal shirt for more of that relaxed feel! Accessories all similar tones to bring to look together.

First and foremost, apologies for the lack of posting for the last 2 months! Am I allowed to blame life for getting in the way? In all seriousness though sorry for my disappearing act, it’s been a very busy 60 something days. From the whirlwind of returning from Italy, then dealing with the post holiday blues, to starting University the exact same week of my return home from Europe, it’s been challenging to say the least! Then add moving houses, keeping down a full-time job, being accepted into a mentorship program with L’oreal, exercise, social life (what’s that?) And a relationship! It’s been a juggling act. Something had to give, and unfortunately it was the blog #SadFace. I can truly say my time management and prioritising skills have improved though.
Better be busy then bored right?
Below is the final product from a shoot I did last week debuting a much shorter hair.
I’ll try not to leave it so long next time, pinky promise!

Sitting here on my balcony, with the warm morning sun sinking into my skin, it’s hard to believe we’re in the middle of Winter with this glorious weather; Global warming? Coffee in hand, researching things to do and places to see for my upcoming European trip (get me out of here ASAP). I’m so excited to be a foreigner in another country, not knowing what people are saying, experiencing a different culture, being thrown out of my comfort zone. Playing it safe for too long becomes mundane and repetitive, same shit different day. A creative refresh is defiantly on the cards.
If you haven’t notice on Instagram yet, we just finished up Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, here in Sydney, while I didn’t really participate this year I managed to sneak in two shows. Unfortunately my overall energy has been a little low lately; hence my eagerness to jump on the nearest plane and disappear for a while. So this past week has been some much-needed rest and recovery.
Being a Pisces I’m naturally an emotional person, which isn’t a bad thing, but it’s when these emotions start to rule your life we have a problem. Juggling work, friends, fitness, family, relationships and your overall mental health can sometimes take a toll. While I’m normally good at not letting people’s problems or energy weigh me down, in the end there’s only so much one can take. At the end of the day happiness is the number one priority, if something or someone isn’t contributing anything good to your life, whats the point of having them around? Don’t waste precious time and energy on a sinking ship, unless you really think you can save the ship from sinking #MetaphorRealness
Now to take this post in an entirely different direction and mood! Below is a new outfit post 🙂

Hello, it’s me! (Insert Adele Reference)
How are you all?…Hopefully happy and healthy! It’s been a little overdue since my last blog post so lets talk.
Is it just me or does it feel like when you ask someone these days “Hey how are you, whats been happening?” the generic response is “Yeah really good, just been really busy” (busy at the beach all week according to your Instagram?) now don’t get me wrong I understand if you are actually busy like running a multimillion dollar company or something… but I feel like these days that response is growing tiresome. I’ll admit I’ve used the busy card a few times when I’m feeling lazy. But I’m trying to consciously remind myself to engage in proper meaningful conversation, heck in this digital age your lucky to even talk to some people face to face anymore, hence my effort to be more responsive.
I’ve been shooting heaps of fashion content, which will be rolling out on the blog and Instagram in the next few weeks. I’m in the midst of planning a European trip to Italy in June/July which I am so excited about as I haven’t had a chance to experience the Italian culture yet. So brace yourself for the #BenjiausTravelAdventure and the crazy amount of gelato and pizza photos!
Meanwhile now were well and truly in Autumn, it’s time to start bringing out those winter pieces you’ve stashed away in the back of your closet. Here in Australia it’s still been very warm some days, hence the tank in the outfit below #GlobalWarming – But atlas bring back those chunky cable knits, layering and moody autumn tones!

Another 7 days has past, another 7 long blacks were consumed. Seriously though I wouldn’t be able to do half the things I do without my caffeine hit, you feeling me? Then the scary part is when you go a day without a coffee and you start to get headaches from the caffeine withdrawals..that’s when you know you gotta cut down! #CoffeeIsMyCrack
Last weekend I was up early and in the city working on a new project for Australia menswear label Tarocash. It’s a little eery being in the city so early because the streets are so empty, but the positive to that is you don’t have a thousand people walking by staring at you thinking “Why is he just walking on the spot like an idiot” or “How many more times can he cross the road back and forth” The answer is until I get the god dam shot; Fun times!
The funny thing is when I started this blog and would be shooting out and about in public I would get so embarrassed and used to worry so much about what other people where thinking. Now days my confidence levels have really matured and I just don’t care anymore. I think to myself, I have a job I need to do, I have an end goal I’m striving for and better yet I’m probably never gonna see these people again. This also relates into my personal life as well, when you stop caring about what other people think about you and start doing things for you, because you want too, that negative energy you conjure just disappears. Life too short, don’t let other people’s opinions stand in your way!

Happy Birthday to me! Yes it’s true, since my last post I’ve unintentionally grown one year older to the ripe old age of 23! (It was the 5th of March, keep it in your diaries). What did I do you ask? Well I had a lovely little dinner with 10 of my nearest and dearest the night before my actual birthday, then carried on drinking with other friends at a different venue. Why the night before your birthday you ask? Well because whether this is a blessing or a curse, my special day this year and nearly every other year, falls on the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade #QueRainbow. So basically I’m told Sydney throws a huge party and parade in my honour! Which is why I celebrate the night before #BuzzKill.
In-between growing one year older and now, I got to shoot this awesome Suede Jacket from Topman, which is the feature piece in this new outfit post. It’s amazing how much more put together an outfit becomes when you add a layer (or in some looks remove multi-able layers) in this case a simple jacket is all that is needed to create a more polished and in-depth look!

Hello, it’s me! I’m back home in Sydney town. I got the redeye flight back from Bali, which was equally unpleasant as the word Red Eye itself. Zero sleep. If you’re following me on Instagram you would be update with all my Bali holiday snaps, between you and I had an amazing time. I’ll be posting a write up real soon, including a recap of my adventure and favourite places to eat!
Before I left to Bali, I squeezed in some last minute fashion shoots for the blog, which i’m going to try to do more off in the future. In my opinion everyone needs a good Leather Jacket, it’s a staple in every wardrobe, dress it up or down, this one from Topman was a great find and wasn’t overall expensive! All outfit details are below and i’ve also included where to buy or some similar options for you all.

Hey Guys & Girls, hope you’re all well, healthy and happy. I know I’m a few days late but “Pinch and Punch for the first day of the month”. It’s already February! Shout out to my little brother whose birthday was on the 1st, Happy Birthday Luke!
Last week on my Instagram I posted a photo from a small project I did with Calvin Klein for the launch of their new fragrance CK2! With so many photo options it would be such a waste to not share them with you all, whats your favourite?!
Riccardo Tisci once said that the mark of a successful designer is having an identity. Well with each collection Tisci delivers, his identity is well and truly stamped firmly on it. From his signature animal motifs/prints, symmetrical embellishment, and grungy tones this collection had it all.
Leather and Bomber jackets where frequently featured in the collection, with similar tones layering. The preferred colour way was more washed tones of greys, browns, burnt orange with occasional pops of red and gold. Which is a change from the last few collections which was predominantly black.
The Balmain Army is back again!
Still riding on the high from the sell out collection HM x Balmain, Creative Director Olivier Rousting delivered once again with the FW16 collection. Over the past few years Balmain has well and truly exploded onto the fashion and media scene, partly to the huge celebrity following including the Kardashian/Jenner clan with there 150+ Million followers, and the distinct design aesthetic.
Men’s Fashion Week Fall/Winter 16 has well and truly kicked off in pure style and opulence. With some of the biggest fashion trends for 2016 on showcase. As the shows unfold I’ll be posting a recap of my favourites, so stay tuned!
First stop is Louis Vuitton FW16 – Artistic Director, Kim Jones, explained that he was inspired by old and new Paris, with the collection a tribute to the beautiful “City of Lights”. A true winter wardrobe, filled with art deco staples and lightweight silk tailoring.
It’s crazy how fast it feels this year has flown on by! Weren’t we just saying goodbye to 2014 not so long ago? Last minute dash to fufil those New Year resolutions, whoops! One thing I’m getting better at as each year passes by, is getting my Christmas shopping done early. I can’t deal with shopping centres around this time of the year, it’s manic!
But if you’re the type of person, who likes to leave everything to the last-minute I’ve compiled a selection of stocking fillers which can be purchased online for the special man in your life!

Firstly no this isn’t a guessing game based around clock faces and time charts! It’s to do with the forever changing technology available to us today. I swear give it 10 more years and probably every item sitting in your vicinity will have the word Smart place in front of it’s name. As the world continues to progress into the future, technology has been right by our sides. With such a huge demand for anything that can make our lives easier, faster, more efficient, the rate at which technology has kept up and in some cases overtaken is outstanding!
Hey Boy’s and Girl’s, behold a little behind the scenes video from a recent fitting at TOPMAN, searching for the perfect suit! Big shout out to the video cameraman Danny Daniels & Johnny Nicolaidis for putting this together, and putting up with my goofy self!

It’s time of the year again folks, when you start to think “should I really be demolishing this family size Cadbury chocolate bar to myself?” or “Gosh I should really put to use that gym membership I bought 11 months ago”. I’m indeed talking about the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, the biggest night of nights in the modelling world, with over 400+ models auditioning, only a handful get to walk for the highly anticipated event and wear a pair of those career changing wings!
It’s like making a cake but leaving the chocolate frosting off the top, you just wouldn’t do it right? Same goes for fragrances, it’s the finishing touch every outfit requires. Sense of smell (preferably good smells) are linked to Mood enhancement, increasing creative expression and sex appeal #GetSpraying. But with so many perfumes and cologne available these days, how does one settle on their signature scent? A few things to remember..
- Let your personality guide your nose.
- Know your fragrance family.
- Consider your surroundings.
- Subtlety works wonders, Less is more.
