So I’ve been saying I was going to post this photo series for about 2 weeks now. So I have actually decided to put in the time and crunch it out while I have 30 minutes to spare! I was lucky enough to work with photographer Karim Konrad while he was swiftly visiting Sydney a couple of months ago. Based in Hong Kong if you haven’t seen any of his work go check him out! Meeting at the beautiful and semi private RedLeaf beach we had a small window period to shoot. Luckily for us it was a beautiful day and took full advantage of the weather and greenery around us. Karim was a breeze to shoot with, and keeping everything very light and casual we were wrapped in no time which meant I got to then spend the rest of the afternoon of the beach behind me in the photos! Win Win I’d say!
In other unrelated news, I’ve been a bit quite on social media as of lately (not sure if you’ve noticed). Like I mentioned in my last blog post I’m finding I’m spreading myself too thin and searching for more hours in the day to finish tasks, which is tiring (so is waking up at 4am most mornings). So I’ve just learnt to say no to things I gain absolutely nothing from…which is working! In saying that I’m feeling really good within myself again, finding balance in my life and back to a really happy and positive place with the current people around me, especially one in particular 🙌🏼😊
So that was kinda a massive, unplanned break! Apologies for the disappearing act the last couple of months, like always life and all your other commitments get in the way and something has to give for me that was the blog #SadFace. Hopefully everyone managed to have an amazing Christmas/New Year period surrounded by family and loved ones, I unfortunately didn’t make it home for Christmas last year as I got unbelievably sick and was grounded so I couldn’t fly anywhere, a little depressing, but onwards and upwards!
I read a great article the other day in Collective Hub about “Getting Your Sh*t Together” and it made me realise how much my time management skills need to improve. The writer Sarah was stuck in the 9-5 rat race and was permanently unhappy, until she decided to quite everything and move to the Caribbean. She lives by these three steps in order to get your shit together. Theres a great little flow chart that goes with it If you find the magazine.
- STRATEGISE: Set a goal and make a plan to achieve that goal in a series of small manageable chunks.
- FOCUS: Set aside time to complete each chunk.
- COMMIT: Do what you need to do to check off your chunks.
I find reading these articles is exactly what I need to bring myself back down to reality and start to focus on what I need to do. Time is constant and constantly moving forward so I need to try my best to keep up and keep on top off all of my commitments whether that be – Work, University, Fitness, Friendships, Family, Social Media. Each needs to be prioritised and given the same attention!
So if you’ve been following along on the good old Instagram, you’ll know I just got back from an amazing trip to BALI – I won’t go deep into that just yet, as it requires a seperate post so hold tight. Before I flew out I managed to organise some time with photographer Jake Weiz for a quick photoshoot while we we’re both In the same place at the same time. I wasn’t anything major in regards to artistic direction or style, just stripped back, very casual and raw. Jake did an amazing job in capturing some pretty special moments! Which I’ll leave you all to be the judge off.
Hola! So a wee bit back I created this mini campaign video in collaboration with Clarisonic featuring the Mia 2 which I posted to my Instagram and received amazing feedback from my followers and friends, which was very humbling – thank you!
Being apart of this mentorship program with L’Oréal for the past 4 months has been an amazing opportunity and experience for myself. Taking away large amounts of knowledge from leading individuals within the industry has been priceless! As well as connecting with fellow influencers and making friendships outside of the program, has been great.
This opportunity landed in my lap when I had a door closed right in my face, so It was meant to be! It’s clear L’Oréal is paving the way for the future by investing in the digital community and acknowledging the time and effort we invest into our craft – that’s a company I’d want to work for!
I hope you enjoy the video…again!
First and foremost, apologies for the lack of posting for the last 2 months! Am I allowed to blame life for getting in the way? In all seriousness though sorry for my disappearing act, it’s been a very busy 60 something days. From the whirlwind of returning from Italy, then dealing with the post holiday blues, to starting University the exact same week of my return home from Europe, it’s been challenging to say the least! Then add moving houses, keeping down a full-time job, being accepted into a mentorship program with L’oreal, exercise, social life (what’s that?) And a relationship! It’s been a juggling act. Something had to give, and unfortunately it was the blog #SadFace. I can truly say my time management and prioritising skills have improved though.
Better be busy then bored right?
Below is the final product from a shoot I did last week debuting a much shorter hair.
I’ll try not to leave it so long next time, pinky promise!

So I’m 4 days out from my next #BenjiausTravelAdventure and I’m running around like an idiot trying to tick everything of my to do list, which I’ve left to the last-minute, again. Don’t even get me started on trying to pack for thirty five days…Where are you going Benji, you might ask? Well I’ve got a five week European trip planned, mostly travelling around the beautiful Italy #Ciao
A rough guide to the trip is as following, starting in Rome then onto Tuscany, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Florence, Milan, Venice, Berlin (still in limbo), Paris, Monaco, Madrid and finish in Ibiza (also still in Limbo). A lot of sight-seeing, a lot of eating, a lot of walking, a lot of eating, a lot of partying and did I mention eating? You can follow my weight gain over the duration of my trip on my Instagram!
If you have any advice or local knowledge please feel free to comment or reach out.
Now in other news, below is a little lifestyle feature I shot last week, enjoy!

Hola! Como Estas? That’s me practising my Spanish before I fly away to Mexico at the end of this month, as you can see I’ll be fluent in “Hello, How are you?” which will get me very far, and then I’m gonna just fluke the rest, wish me luck! More on my upcoming travels coming soon!
Today’s post is Instagram related, more so on which photo editing app’s I use when posting IG photo’s. A common question I get on my social media account is “What filter/editing application do you use, or how do you edit your photo’s?” So I decided to let you in on my not so secret, secret!
Very proud and happy to announce this achievement, last month BENJIAUS aka me! Was chosen to represent Australia’s favourite Juice company Boost Juice, in the launch of their latest range of smoothie’s and juice’s dubbed “Black Label”. This was Boost Juice largest social media campaign to date, reaching millions of people across all social media channels and point of sale in all 250+ stores across Australia.
Exciting times ahead!
It’s time of the year again folks, when you start to think “should I really be demolishing this family size Cadbury chocolate bar to myself?” or “Gosh I should really put to use that gym membership I bought 11 months ago”. I’m indeed talking about the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, the biggest night of nights in the modelling world, with over 400+ models auditioning, only a handful get to walk for the highly anticipated event and wear a pair of those career changing wings!
I’m ashamed to say it, but my cooking skills are pretty much non-existent… you want toast? I can do that! Stir-fry, easy! As long as I can combine everything in one pot and let it cook, done! I’m the type of guy who will invite you over on a date for a home cooked meal, purchase takeaway at a store, burn the packaging it came in and chop some parsley up and sprinkle it on top to make it look authentic.
Cooking isn’t my strongest skill, but like anything, practice makes perfect. Even if half the time is not edible. Now for the point of this post! A while ago myself and Johnny were shooting an Accessories post for Westfield, and my very kind friend lent us his apartment to shoot in. We wrapped early and decided to take advantage of our location and shoot a mini story in the kitchen. I posted a photo a while back on my Instagram, but thought I’d share with you all the unpublished ones, enjoy!
So you may remember from my last post when I mentioned a little something about doing my first TV interview? Well here it is! I’m excited to share with you all my interview with Australian TV station SBS, which features and sheds a little light on myself and the crazy social media world I live in today! I’ve also included some behind the scenes photo’s from the day thanks to my trusty friend and photographer Johnny!
As John Snow famously once said “Winter is Upon Us”… Seriously I’m almost expecting to encounter a WhiteWalker anytime now! Meanwhile I’m sitting here clutching my coffee for dear life, all rugged up starring down my Cat (MittenPuffs) in pure jealously, wishing I had my own fur coat!
You may remember a little while back, I partnered with exclusive hotel QT Sydney, as their official Sydney Mardi Gras Ambassador. This past weekend I was welcomed to stay at the hotel which I can definitely describe as Sydney’s sexiest, most creative, and quirky, in-demand hotel!
“Welcome to the QT Sydney!”

Happy Birthday To Me, Happy Birthday To Me, Happy Birthday Dear Benji! This month I celebrated my 22nd year of being alive & it feels good. Having already learned so much at the excitable age of 22 I’m looking forward to growing a little older, and a little more wiser! I’m excited for the ups and the downs, that we all go through, and which makes us who we are.
